6 Days Explore Kenya Tanzania Safari package covers the Masai Mara national reserve, Serengeti National park and the Ngorongoro crater tour. Masai Mara is Kenya’s most popular conservation area. It is the Northern edge of the larger Masai Mara Serengeti ecosystem. Masai Mara has a large density of top predators that include, the lion, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. Big prides can easily be seen on game drives and the flat Savannah landscapes creates an ideal ground for the lands fastest mammal the cheetah. The diverse habitat has river line forests ideal for leopards and black rhinos. The landscape dotted with trees in fact gives this great plains their name and the Maa speaking people have lived with the wildlife since time in memorial making it also a good destination for an indigenous cultural experience. July to October the over one million wildebeests and zebras dot the Savannah. The great wildebeest migration is one of the wonders of the world and one of the most documented wildlife migrations in the world. The highlight of this is usually the Mara river crossing. Thousands and thousands of wildebeest arrive at the banks of the 300km river and are lured by the greener pastures across the river. The pressure keeps piling and eventually the plunge into the crocodile infested waters. Its happy time for the ancient looking reptiles, the crocodiles. The wildebeest have over time mastered the art of swam intelligence and they simply overwhelm the crocodiles and though one or two get trapped by the massive jaws of the beasts a good majority make it through though a few also get swept by the raging river waters. This also the best time for cat action as there is a lot of prey around and this triggers the big cats to breed making the January February another great time to visit the Masai Mara to see the cubs that are born after 3 months. 6 Days Explore Kenya Tanzania Safari package then takes you to the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. One of the biggest conservation areas in Africa. The density of of wildlife is high and most of the year the big wildebeest herds call this place home. Big male lions and pride roam the plains and so do cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals and other smaller cats like the serval. The elephants buffaloes warthogs too are enjoyed on a game drive. It is a good photography safari destination with its unique kopjes. At time you get lions or leopards on top of this unique rock formations. Ngorongoro crater is the worlds largest inactive caldera. The floor is about 260 square kilometers with approximately 2500 ungulates living there. We have lions and it is the best place on this 6 Days Kenya Tanzania Safari Holiday package to see the endangered black rhino. The views from the rim of this gigantic volcano are amazing.
