Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is located in the heart of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. At only two hours drive from Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, Lake Naivasha stands as unique oasis, offering the allure of its pristine waters and the unique charm of Sanctuary Farm. Exciting wildlife encounters amidst the enchanting landscape. It offers a great combination of a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and horse riding at Sanctuary Farm which promises an immersive experience with giraffes, zebras, and gnus in their natural habitat.

Boat ride at Lake Naivasha

Embark on a boat ride across the calm waters of Lake Naivasha providing you a great perspective of the beautiful Rift Valley landscape. The lake, known for its birdlife diversity and it hosts over 400 bird species, including the impressive fish eagles, the fishing pelicans, king fishers, lovebirds and cormorants. As you ride over the calm waters, the picturesque scenery unfolds, offering glimpses of the surrounding acacia forests and the distant volcanic peaks.

The main highlight of the motor boat ride is the encounter with the horse of the nile, the hippos. Lake Naivasha is home to a big population of hippos and the boat allows you to photograph them from an eye level in their natural habitat. Horse Riding at Lake Naivasha Sanctuary Farm

On the 10 Days Enchanting Kenya and Tanzania Adventure Safari, the Safari tour you will experience horse riding as you get up close to giraffes, zebras, and gnus all roaming freely.

As you mount your horse and set off on the trail, you will see Giraffes gracefully stretch their necks to nibble on acacia leaves, zebras graze peacefully, and gnus meander in the distance. Back to Kenya on the final leg of 10 Days Enchanting Kenya and Tanzania Adventure Safari . The safari takes you to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli’s vast plains and swamps are home to large herds of African elephants. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest Mountain provides a perfect setting for a wildlife photography safari in Amboseli National Park. Visit the Observation Hill for panoramic view of the entire park, giving you the chance to reflect on the amazing safari through of 10 Days Enchanting Kenya and Tanzania Adventure Safari .

Itinerary

We Leave Nairobi early in the morning and head to Lake Naivasha. We make a stop stop at the East African section of the great rift valley view point. It is a geologic wonder of the world. A fracture on the earths in the earth’s surface. Enjoy views of a stratovolcano, Mount Longonot,with a 8x12 km caldera is quit a sight to behold. Drive on further past the small Italian catholic church built in 1942 during the second world war, the Italians were prisoners of war and Kenya at that time was still a British colony until 1963. We arrive in time for lunch then later after a brief rest head out for the afternoons activities. We begin with the boat ride, about one hour in the only fresh water lake in the Kenyan rift valley that is home to hippos and over 400 bird species. Get pied kingfishers in action, the African fish eagle busy looking for the all-important protein source, the fish. Common carp is the most common fish here. Later we go out for a horse ride or nature walk depending on your preference at the crescent island or the sanctuary farm. You can also do a bike ride as you watch wildlife, you will have a guide with you. You can choose to explore the hells gate national park, walk amongst giraffes’ zebras warthog “pumba”. Visit and explore the hells gate gorge as you examine obsidian rocks and hot springs in the gorge. Later on, return to the relaxing ambience of your lodge for dinner and overnight.

We leave Lake Naivasha after breakfast and proceed to Lake Nakuru national park. After approximately one and a half hours we arrive and start our game drive is this awe inspiring park. We search for both the black and white rhinos, lions antelopes, visit the shore lines for the flamingoes and pelicans.
Dinner and lunch will be at the lodge.

After breakfast we drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley - Masai Mara game reserve is the northern part of the Serengeti, one of Kenya's most favoured game-viewing areas. The reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Afternoon game drive to see the sundowner as you trail the Big 5 i.e. Lions in large prides, Elephants, buffalos, zebras and numerous plain game. Dinner and overnight stay at Camp or lodge. Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5/other predators. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight at Enkorok Mara Camp The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures

We leave the camp soon after breakfast or with packed breakfast and drive through the southern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to the Tanzanian border at Isebania . Proceed to Serengeti national park with packed lunches en route - game is viewed as we proceed to Serengeti Angani Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay

A full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the plains, Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Angani Tented Camp Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometres of protected area that borders Kenya’s MasaiMara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants

Early morning breakfast then leave with picnic lunch for a full day crater tour. You will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle, explore the crater before ascending back to the Ngorongoro Forest for dinner and overnight. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’ a visit to the crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home of Ngorongoro Crater

We leave after an early morning breakfast and drive to the Kenya Tanzania border. After border formalities we head to Amboseli where we do a game drive as we head to the lodge/ camp

After breakfast we explore the Amboesli National Park. Our itinerary is flexible and we have the option of doing half day game drives and later again in the afternoon after a lunch break. Amboseli National park is the best place to see big herds of elephant. The swamps attract this magnificent creature that find themselves living in this vast semi-arid ecosystem. The dusty plains also play host to cheetahs and lions amongst the big cats. On early morning game drives, you have a higher chance of seeing the rarer mammals like the honey badger, African wildcat, African civet amongst others. Thus, we always recommend our guests leave camp or lodge at the earliest legal times with packed breakfast to catch the morning serenity. The thought of the beautiful African sunrise in the open plains and breakfast in the wild with enchanting views should be motivation enough to make you jump out of bed early. . In Amboseli conservation area we also have the dry lake Amboseli that offers quit good elephant photography opportunities as well as other herbivores that you may come across in the vast dry lake bed. Amboseli also offer unmatched photography opportunities, the golden light spiced with the dust as the animals move into and out of the swamp in the morning and in the evening, which happens to be their daily migration routine. After breakfast we a game drive as we exit the park and head back to Nairobi. We arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon where the memorable safari ends
